The basic denial of rights and violence against women and children in Asia often occurs in familiar spaces, driven by structural disparities, patriarchy, and prevailing social and gender norms. Top-down adult-child interactions demand obedience through fear, undermining children’s agency as individual rights holders.

We recognize the increased investment in child protection and gender and considerable space and scope to improve effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of present Child protection and gender interventions through transformation in program strategy, program design, implementation and partnership models in thus improving impact, learning and scale. Given that children are a core stakeholder to our work, creating resources, training models and content for developing their life skills, voice and agency is one of our business commitments.
